CAR Online has compiled a secret dossier of all the hybrid petrol-electric cars under development at Toyota and Lexus. Today we can reveal a new wave of eco-friendly plug-in hybrids – with confidential details of the next Prius and all the new models that will build on the success of Toyota and Lexus battery cars. There will be a new family of Prius hybrid models, as previously reported in CAR, as well as a new Lexus RX hybrid, sportier batter-powered cars and a top-secret petrol-electric Lexus hatchback.
Newcastle and cars: for many, that phrase brings to mind the 1971 British cult gangster movie ‘Get Carter', starring Michael Caine. The new Honda NSX isn’t just motor show fantasy: it’s headed for production, and here’s the first image of the hybrid supercar in testing. This very NSX prototype will lap the Mid-Ohio Sport Car Course racing circuit in Ohio, USA, ahead of the Honda Indy 200 IndyCar Series race on 4 August 2013. It’ll be the first time the new NSX has turned a wheel in anger in view of the public, as it gears up for a showroom debut in 2015.
